Thanks Marian! Once in awhile I step out of season, but it doesn't feel quite right and I get back in line right quick!

This was very good. Aside from the fava beans, it does seem simpler than other risotto recipes. I added about a half cup of wine at the beginning, before putting in the broth. I also added mint at the end, with the cheese. It was great!

I appreciate that all your recipes seem to be seasonal.

So when are you publishing a cookbook?

I'm drooling just reading the recipe! Thankfully, I have several of the key ingredients on hand... fresh asparagus, arborio rice, pecorino cheese, chicken broth... and so I'll be making this dish for Sunday dinner, for sure. I'm already looking forward to it!

Thank you for sharing!

Mmmm... I do a risotto like this every year, with the earliest of spring veg, including greens (chard, spinach) if available, and herbs. Also lemon, wildly imported, but sooo good with everything. I do love the idea of adding an egg alongside, for protein. And glory.
