		<description>This is one of the first (and only) recipes my mom ever taught me to make! I was about 9 years old and during the summer I would crave a German pancake for lunch. I remember the cast iron pan being so heavy for my 9-year-old self!

I&#039;m going to have to make a German pancake for my husband this weekend.</description>

		<description>yes they eat them in germany!  my grandmother used to make them but had the recipe in her head and never passed on any exact measurements. Thank you for this!  I can&#039;t wait to make it.

PS.  the tomato conserve was way worth making! So delicious.</description>

		<description>German pancakes...who knew? In our house it&#039;s a Dutch Baby, baby...but whatever you call it, it&#039;s really, really good.

As for brekkie: I&#039;m a toasted granola, fruit, and yogurt kinda gal. But if I lived in my hometown I guess it would be Bircher muesli, a staple in the Sydney cafe scene -- and not that saw-dusty stuff most folks think of when they think of muesli.
